Fishing Highlights

with a lifetime of memories. For Dion, fishing
with his dad also laid the foundation for a
successful career as a professional bass fisherman.
Dion competed
in his first bass tournament at the age of 12
and has never looked back. He joined the ranks
of professional bass fisherman at the age of
18. Dion is still the youngest qualifier for
the BASS Masters Classic® and has qualified
for the Classic eight times.

when he won the 27th annual BASS Masters Classic®.
The Classic has become the most prestigious
tournament in professional bass fishing, pitting

Dion does more
than just go fishing. One of the best selling
soft baits in the industry, the Guido Bug, was
inspired by a junior high school project of
Dion's. While working on this project, Dion
made a mold of a live crawdad using plaster
of Paris. This project soon became the well
known Guido Bug and Dion had begun his career
as a bait and tackle designer.
Due to the demands
of competitive fishing, Dion is always looking
for an edge. Through his work on the water and
in the shop, he is advancing the state of the
art in fishing tackle and boating equipment.
He consults with a number of manufacturers to
bring these innovations to the fishing public.
